Ravi Sharma is considered a hotelier par excellence. After completing his formal education and training in hospitality studies, he worked with some of the most iconic hotel brands in the world. He began with the Oberoi in 1980 and five years later, made his way to the Sheraton where he was awarded with the Sheraton Quality Assurance Award. His winning streak continued with the Marriott, where he was certified as an International Operation Champion-IOC as well as a trainer in Hospitality Operations. He also worked with the ACCOR group for over 6 years from the year 2000 onwards. Over his illustrious 25-year hotel career, Ravi won several accolades that cemented his place as a decorated veteran in the hotel & restaurant industry.
He then went on to reinvent himself as an educator in the hospitality education space, yet again carving a niche for himself in the eyes of thousands of students over the next 14 years. He inspired many youngsters to set out on the path of academic and professional accomplishments in the world of hotels. He taught several highly sought-after courses for the University of West London, Edinburgh Napier University, and Queen Margaret University among others over his career as an academician.
Kunal Kaul is a seasoned hotel industry professional with over 17 years of experience across hotel operations and hospitality education. With stints in France, the United Kingdom and India, his experience spectrum is wide and multifarious. He has mentored, trained and led teams for over 15 years. Well-versed with the most modern elements of global F&B techniques, his eye for detail and ability to imbibe best practices have earned him several accolades.
A WSET Educator, Certified Specialist of Wine (Society of Wine Educators), Certified Sherry Educator, and a Hospitality trainer to boot, he’s considered a subject matter expert in these areas. His passion for history has taken him on many a trail to deep-dive into a particular wine region’s most important grape.
His vast experience covers the top 5-star hotel chains like Hilton, ACCOR, Radisson, and Thistle Hotels. For the last 7 years, he has been a Hospitality Educator and a Wine and Beverages Trainer.
